This was the case in NCC's receiving plant n°1 (RP1). In 1971 Hugo Schaeffer, vice president of operations at the NCC, started worrying about (1)the incontrollable overtime costs in that plant and (2)the increasing number of growers complaining about the excessive waiting time before their trucks could unload the berries. In the following parts we are going to search where those problems in process fruits at the RP1 come from and find out solutions and advices to solve it - EXPLANATION OF THE MAIN PROBLEMS FACED BY RP1 As we said earlier, at that time, there was no problem of productivity in the cultivation of berries.
